I am not dead- just busy

Hello, Hello!
I have missed you all. I have been so busy so I apologize for not posting. So let me re-cap the last few months.
First- Halloween was tons of fun. Mike and I went to an adult murder mystery party, thrown by the Schow's- tons of fun. Trick-or-treating was good. Livy was a witch and Will, The Hulk.
I started a really hard class, business financing! Wow- it was a killer but I survived and even passed with a B+. Go me!!!
I took a 5 day vacation with my sisters, Jennette and Janell and my cousins, Becca and Kirstin to Gatlinburg Tennessee! It was fun. Lots of shopping. We went to two dinner shows, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, and to a Murder Mystery dinner show (the theme was American Idle Christmas Special). I was chosen as a contestant. I came in 2nd. You'll have to call me to find out how.
Thanksgiving was great! Same old same old.
In Young Women- we just had our Young Women in Excellence program and it was amazing! The girls were fantastic! I love them so much and so does our Heavenly Fathers. Thanks to Erin, Ruth, Chelese and Barb for all their hard work and commitment to our lovely young ladies.
That's all for now....
no wait! I forgot to tell you about the movie Twilight! It was great. Was it as good as the book- no way! but enjoyable still the same.

Spicy Blogs? - Mine is the El Sol of Blogs

So, as I read the blogs of others I hear music, see pictures neatly aligned, great back grounds, videos and much more. Mine..... nothing. It is so boring. It is bland and plain, over and over!
So I am calling out to all you pro-bloggers for some training. How do I make my blog fancy and spiced up???
Thanks friends- I know you are going to help.

On a different note- dinner was great tonight. I picked up Papa John's pizza. My favorite
Olivia is sick and it breaks my heart to see her under the weather.
YW tonight was great. What an amazing group of girls. They tied two baby quilts in just over an hour! Awesome.

Night~

Thoughtful Question

At dinner yesterday, my father-in-law commented on a single adult something or other, next weekend in Salt Lake, for the church. He is single and my sisters are single as well. Mike then made a comment to me and it really got me thinking. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the comment.
"We are looking for a custom fit in an off-the-rack world."

How often to we wait for everything to be perfect? For the stars to align before we make a choice, a change or a decision? The comment was originally made in the context of finding a companion, but what else does this crazy comment apply to.?
If we are waiting for the perfect fit, is there no faith? Have we forgotten that alterations can be made in time? Or that we might change ourselves to fit the change?
Thoughts anyone?

Happy Monday
-J

BTW- Olivia is offically without her two front teeth. Tomorrow is picture day- and I guess that is better than the second hanging crooked! LOL :)

RISING MOON ADVENTURES

My bestest friend, Olea Gough is a fabulous artist and has created her own "toys". I hosted a party for her last weekend and had a great time playing with her stuff! She is new and up coming and has items that you can't find any where else!
If you have any plans to buy any child a Christmas, birthday or just because gift anytime soon, I encourage you to check out her stuff before you race to Wal-Mart!
She does flannel board stories (nursery rhymes, B of M stories, fairy tales), bingo games, memory games, books, card and invitations and more. She also creates earrings, key chains, scripture tags, cell phone charms, hair clips and more with some type of clay! Soooo cute. The best part is that she can personalize anything- from colors to faces!
Please check out her blog- you won't regret it. www.risingmoonadventures.blogspot.com

Olivia finally had her BIRTHDAY

After counting down since January, Olivia's birthday finally arrived.
She was so lucky and had 3 parties.

The first party was a "Fancy Nancy" party. This evening was based on a book, in which Nancy the little girl teaches her family how to be fancy and they go to dinner. So that is what we did. Olivia dressed us up and out we went. (Mike too) We ate at El Sol with our pinkies up and called each other "darling" all night! What a blast.

Sunday was dinner @ mom's and then on her birthday we caught a volleyball game, ate dinner with all the Grandparents @ Firehouse and then made it to pack meeting.

Happy Birthday, my fancy little princess!

Will's Baptism

I am so late with this post- please accept my apoligies.

Will was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-Day Saints on Saturday Sept. 6th. We had a great day! Will was showered with love and gifts!

Thanks to everyone who helped make this day special for Will.

Grandma Tout-Tout

My Grandmother, Phyllis Nelson Tout passed away this week. I was honored to speak at the funeral and reminisce my favorite memories of her. (sometime I will post the talk) I also got to spend the weekend will my family and that is always a good time. We are happy that she has returned to her Father in Heaven and reunited with her sweetheart- Glen. We know that you too are dancing your hearts out! We love you Grandma and will always remember the treasures you gave to us and lessons you taught.
"Thank you for raising 3 wonderful daughters as friends so that us cousins could become friends as well." -cousin Kirstin

July Project

So, I forgot to tell you all about our little back yard project. Many of you have seen it so you know first hand how cool it is. Mike and I (mostly Mike) built a fire pit. It's huge. Mike constructed the frame. We filled it with 4 ton of road base (rock and dirt) and then put a washed river rock on top. The fire ring we got from a junk yard in Preston.
We took the kids camping and spent all day on Saturday chopping wood and loading the trailer. Mike's buddy from work, Mike Davis joined us and helped us cut down a lodge pole pine. It was so fun and the pine smelled great. We ended up renting a log splitter and then hauling it all over by the fire pit. The local missionaries help- We love Elder's Street and Stiles. We have since lined it with tiki torches and have enjoyed the smores. If you are craving one- come on over!! You are always welcome.

Today is September 1st and I must apologize that it has been over a month since my last post. I have been meaning to post updates of all the wonderful and fun things we have been up to, but I just haven't. I just finished a terrible class- Economics and has taken all my brain power for the last 6 weeks. I even uploaded the pictures from my camera, so that I could have them to share, but still no posts. So sorry.

So let me just give you a run down of the many events the Weber's have been up to this month.

Saw Mill Hike

The kids and I, Dani, Mom and Irv and my friend Charith and her two kids, Afton and Eli went on the 3 mile hike to the old Saw Mill in Logan Canyon on the 24th. What a great way to spend Pioneer Day. Kudos to Mom and Irv for dealing with 4 kids, they are really great people. The hike was beautiful and the best part was seeing the moose on the way to the trail head. Olivia's comment was, "it looks just like a moose in story books." She is too funny.

Here are some great pictures of the trip. Enjoy.
Just a little dirt on the nose!

New Truck or Spoiled Rotten

So, Mr Weber got a new truck this month. The color is so cool, it's called Vanilla. I think I love it more than he does. He got the windows tinted, bigger tires and put on a leveling kit (whatever that means). Anyway- it is a beautiful truck.

The kids are cool too!

Girl's Camp

oh the memories that fill your mind when you hear the words "girls camp". Those memories could be good or bad, but mine right now are great.

I had the wonderful opportunity to go to girl's camp with our Young Women July 15-18th. We went to Beaver MTN. it was wonderful weather and great because of the short drive.

The theme of camp was "You Glow Girl". We had lots of activities centered around how we can use the light of Christ we have within us! Above we are singing our camp song- "Someone Needs Your Star." I think my favorite part of camp was skit night. My stomach muscles hurt for 2 days after laughing so hard. Just to share a little- I put a squished banana in my pocket!!!

All the leaders were wonderful. A big thanks to the camp director and assistant- Sarah and Lindsey- you chicks rock!

Mike came up on Thursday for the hike and cooked a wonderful dinner for us that night! It was great to have him there. I know that the spirit was with us the entire time. The gospel is true!

Here's a picture of our Presidency. (you'll have to excuse the dirt- this was day 3!)
These ladies are the heart of our YW!! I couldn't get through a day without them! Thanks.

Oh- and I got a little crazy with the glow jewlery! LOL

Summer Fun

So what did you do for the 4th of July?

The Weber family sent the day @ Downeta Swim Park in Downey, ID, it is about 45 minutes north of us. We had a great time enjoying the hot spring water (it was so warm) the 3 waterslides. The kids are little water babies and didn't want to leave! Jennette, Janell, Alisa, Paige, Jeremiah, Jackie, Whitney, Daniel, & Courtney & Jessica (Court's girlfriend) were all there. Grammy Diane joined us in the pool after lunch! Grandpa went on the 4-wheeler for a great ride. We ran into my Dad's brother, Uncle Lynn. It was nice to see him. We had a blast. it was well worth the money and the drive.

Let me know what your family did!

The Weber Workshop is now open!

Well, I did it. I finally caved in and set up a blog. My family and I are not moving away, nor do we live hundreds of miles from our parents and siblings, but we do have lots of friends who do, so this is for them. I won't promise that I will update this daily or anything, but I hope to add funny things from my children every chance I get.

Feel free to leave a post and let me know that you stopped by. If there is anything you would like to see on my blog- let me know. If you are a pro-blogger and have suggestions, tips, or ideas don't hesitate to share!
Have a great day everyone.
